How safe is MRI?

It's absolutely safe! There are no risks or side effects associated with this test.

Please consult your doctor if you are, or may be pregnant, or if you have recently undergone surgical procedures, and if the surgery you have undergone, you have imported metal for example for orthopedics,

Please also consult your doctor and the people of Magnetic Tomography of Epirus if you have:

  • Surgical aneurysm clips on your head and body
  • Metal valves in the heart
  • Cardiac pacemaker
  • Internal implants in the ear (cochlear implant)
  • Neurological stimulants
  • Metal fragments in the eye or the other body

If you've ever had metal scrap in your body and especially in your eyes because of injury, you'll need to make an X-ray of the area before performing MRI to ensure that no scrap is still present.
